Milanese snapshots

"What is the fatal charm of Italy? What do we find there that can be found nowhere else? I believe it is a certain permission to be human, which other places, other countries, lost long ago." -Erica Jong

After almost 5 years of living in Milan, I finally took my camera and wandered around the central area (Duomo) to play the tourist, so check out my pictures from the wonderful Duomo, the gallery Vittorio Emanuele II and the Scala.

If you want a cheap lunch with a view, go to McDonald's in front of the Duomo (this is the only time I'll be advising you to go to a McDonald's, I swear!), grab something, go upstairs and try to get a table by the windows, this is the view you'll be having while 'enjoying' your Big Mac... worth the sacrifice, right?

I love the Galleria, it gives the city a poshy atmosphere:
Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

I am still trying to find a way to get in the Scala theater to watch a lyric opera play:

One of my favorite places has to be this cozy little square right behind the Galleria, perfect for a quiet lunch break in the middle of the city's chaos:
