Di viole di liquirizia

I had heard so much about this place that the other day, while walking on the beautiful Via Madonnina, I decided to visit Di Viole Di Liquirizia.

Di Viole Di Liquirizia is a tiny bakery in the Brera district, where baker Pina and her daughter Lucia prepare amazing sweet treats, like cupcakes, cheesecakes, scones, macarons, etc. which you can taste with a cup of tea (I've read they have the famous tea from Mariage Frères) or get to go.
There are some tables inside and a couple outside and the place, although tiny, is very cozy. The perfect place to visit on an afternoon of shopping.
This time I only got a mini cupcake to eat there and a couple to go. They were delicious, the cake is not the fluffy, airy type, these ones are thick, and also the icing is not the creamy type, mostly on the thicker side as well, but the flavors are really something special. I'll be definitely coming back to taste the other delicious treats they have, and perhaps, if I'm lucky to find a seat, a cup of tea.

If you visit their website you can also check out their cake portfolio, they make cakes to order in any shape or flavor you want.
