Club Med Ixtapa - Part 2

As I was telling you, the sea at Club Med Ixtapa is calm (as the name Playa Quieta says), the waves are small and it is nice to swim in it. The water is warm and clean but very different from the Mayan Riviera, the sand here is darker but still soft. There are sunbeds and cabanas among the palm trees, giving you a great shadow from the boiling sun. The beach bar Miramar serves delicious a la carte snacks (like tuna wraps, burgers, tacos al pastor, fruit salad, etc.) and the bartenders prepare good cocktails (piña colada, margaritas, etc.).

The pool area is not as noisy as you might expect, partly because kids get lots to do at the Kids Clubs (from 4 months to 17 years), since I don't have kids I can't tell you if the entertainment for them is good but I guess the Trip Advisor voters who awarded "Best resort for families in Mexico" to Club Med Ixtapa (for some years now) know what they're talking about!

There are some activities during the day at the pool but the GO people are never intrusive or forcing you to participate if you don't want to. There are also lots of other activities for all ages like the trapeze, trampolin, climbing wall, sailing, kayaks, tennis, basketball, soccer, etc. And lots of fitness activities as well: dancing lessons, yoga, acqua gym, morning walks, etc.

We were there in the last week of august which is already considered low season since schools have already started in Mexico. So the club was at minimum capacity but the service was excellent, the food at the buffet amazing and the atmosphere was relaxed.

Our impressions about Club Med Ixtapa are very good, the service is top quality, GOs are nice and cool, staff in the restaurants is excellent and everyone tries to make your stay perfect.
The food is so good I'm gonna dedicate a full post just to this subject so stay tuned!
The spa and excursions are overpriced (as in most resorts) so we didn't use these services but  we didn't need to, between all the food, drinks and activities we never got bored but we also had time to relax.
We would definitely stay here again.
Thanks to Club Med Ixtapa for the great holidays!
