Addicted to Pinterest

By now, we should all know what Pinterest is, right? If not, have a look at my previous post.
Well, lately Pinterest has become the ultimate social website, not to mention a great marketing resource for companies, blogs and brands.
I've been spending an average of 10-minutes on Pinterest everyday in the last month and I've been pinning, liking, repining and browsing through many other pinners' interests. As a result, my blog has been getting traffic from the pictures of my previous posts I've been pinning, I've pinned lots of recipes (some of them will be tried, some others will just stay in my 'Food' board),

I've pinned and liked lots of beautiful clothes, shoes and bags I can't afford - but I'll try to find the next best affordable thing,

I've repinned lots of pictures of beautiful places I've been to or I'd like to visit,

I've created a 'Blog' board where I pin all the ideas I can get for this space

The brain of a Blogger

Hi there!
I just had to share with you this great Infograph (you know how much I like these things) from Infolinks about the brain of a blogger. Do you recognize yourself in it? I do! Creating and keeping a blog (especially trying to keep it cool and interesting) is really hard, also when, as in my case, you don't have a lot of knowledge about blogger, html codes, widgets, etc. but it's a great hobby, so, here's an infograph of what's going on in my head:

I'm spending a lot of time on Pinterest, if you have not yet discovered this handy website, check out this post. So, while browsing on Pinterest, I found this cool infographic created by Lab42 (found on Mashable). It explains graphically how technology and social media are changing our travel experiences.

Pinterest-ED or Pinspire-D?

Who hasn't heard of Pinterest or Pinspire these days??? They're like the new social networks that are actually not social networks, it's like your good old desk board, you know, the one behind the desk in which you used to pin the important papers, photos or images together with post-its, etc. Well, Pinterest and Pinspire are like an image database in which you find that, images, which you categorize in Boards and share with the world. For example, take mine:

As you can see, I divided my boards in 7 interests: the clothes, accessories and hairstyles I like are in "Style", the words of wisdom I often refer to are in "Quotes", the delicious recipes I will one day try are in "Food", the places I've been to or wish I could are in "Places", my favorite books or the ones I want to read are in "Books" and I have also added some images to the database, they're in "My Polyvore Sets".
The board "Ideas" is where I keep some ideas for my drawings (yes, another of my hobbies), right now I'm drawing a mexican-inspired Tree of Life and I've found many bits of different images that I'd like to add to my drawing so, what better way to keep 'em all in one place without printing or filling up the Bookmarks?

You can search for people with your same interests or whose images you like and start "following" them, you can re-pin their images or just "like" them (that's the social approach). Oh, don't forget to follow me!
