Luke's Lobster, Plaza Food Hall, NYC

The Plaza hotel in New York City is a dream destination for many because of the luxury that comes with the name, but now there's another reason to go to the Plaza... lobster rolls!

The underground floor of the Plaza hosts a nice food hall where you can find everything from caviar, french bread, pastries, chocolate and tea to lobster rolls, ice cream and sushi.
The food hall has some seating space, although it can be difficult to find a table in peak hours.
Our choice was Luke's Lobster, there was a queue but it was worth the wait. The first time (yes we went back twice) we had the Taste of Maine menu, which had a sample of each roll (shrimp, crab and lobster), including chips, a pickle and a drink, for $23. All of them were very good, but the lobster was special (obviously). What is amazing about these rolls is the simplicity of the ingredients, the simply cooked seafood - served cold -, the bread bun, a spread of mayonaise and a sprinkle of lemon and spices, but it was so delicious.

So the next time we got the Lobster Roll menu (for $17), as good as we remembered!
