What better way to spend a sunny Saturday morning than wandering in the borough market? The colors, the smells, the people and most of all the quality and freshness that you can't find anywhere else in the city.
After shopping for fresh veggies and fruit we stopped to get some fish.
The results of our shopping became a simple and yet delicious dish: mexican shrimp cocktail.
1/2 cup of Ketchup
Juice of 1/2 an orange
1/2 avocado, diced
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon tabasco
1/4 chopped onion
Cook the shrimp for a couple of minutes in boiling water, peel and dice. Mix together with the other ingredients and pour into 2 glasses or bowls. Decorate with slices of avocado.
