Snapshots of Hamburg

Discovering this beautiful city through a series of snapshots...

Speicherstadt, the new quarter, built using the old warehouses...

The "never-ending" construction of the Elbe Philharmonic hall...

 The houses along the harbor...

The culture...

The bridges and the harbor...

The impressive City Hall...

The channels...

The Alster lake...

The (unimpressive) oldest bridge...

The sun over St. Michaelis church...

And the touching ruins of St. Nikolai church (the tower is being rebuilt but it looks impressive)

The moving “Prüfung” by Edith Breckwoldt. The grieving man is sitting on a pile of bricks collected from the ruins of the Nazi Concentration camp at Sandbostel – about 60 km away.
